MONTREAL - Another big name has confirmed her entry into the 2010 Rogers Cup in Montreal.

Belgium's Justine Henin, who is ranked No. 23 in the world, will join some of the planet's best tennis players at the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour stop, which is slated for Uniprix Stadium from Aug. 13-22.

The WTA Tour's top-10 players, in addition to star players such as Maria Sharapova, Ana Ivanovic and Kim Clijsters, had previously confirmed their participation.

“Justine Henin is a great champion who has always performed well at the Rogers Cup and we are thrilled that she has included Montreal on her schedule,” said Rogers Cup tournament director Eugene Lapierre. “She has always been a favourite among Quebec tennis fans and I am sure they will welcome her back with open arms. She is the last of the top players to confirm her participation, the piece we were missing to complete our puzzle.”

The 28-year-old announced her retirement in the spring of 2009, but returned prior to the start of this season. The former world's No. 1 was a finalist in January at the Australian Open and won her first tournament in Stuttgart.

A six-time Grand Slam champion, Henin will be making her third appearance in Montreal and seventh Rogers Cup appearance overall.
